Dont rule the Polish military out they have become very well trained and very well equiped over the last 5-10 years. They may not be the biggest but i would put them close to the british, french or german armies.

I agree, Poland is very surprising as a Military force.

And not to brag, but the Irish army is very good as well, though small.

No need to repost, we can simply prune off the relevent posts into a new thread, just say the word

    Sgt,

You're married ... to a red head if I'm not mistaken. So, take your eyes off the gold (blonds) ... or you won't have any at all.

    oh dear

    Colnel,
That I am (with the exception of the red head bit, grrr), the day went off pretty well aside from her auntie throwing up on the table. No need to worry though she was far enough away so as not to be to much of a bother .
Blonds, what blonds I swear I aint never..... umm eh oh ****. Aside from being a little burned out I'm ok, the wee fella's got a bug which means his sleep pattern is even worse than usual so here I am. How are you all doing?

    Sgt,

Or should I say Sgt-Maj? Based upon a review of your threads, you should be a CSM by now.

In any case, I envy you. A son. You at least get to play with his toys. I've just spent $600 last Christmas on 3 foot Barbie Princesses (don't ask) for my little girl.

So, what do you see your son to be? Rugby? Football millionaire?

In any case ... to WAB matters - I would really like your opinion on Irish military visions (as per to the future). How do you see the Irish Forces in 10 - 20 years time and how (or even would they) they fit in NATO/ABCA/or even sole US scenarios.

Canucks and Brits are too tied into the Americans to see the big picture but your opinion will really ground the Allied perspective.

Oh, one last thing, has your little bobby started running yet? If I recall, young lads learn to run before they learn to walk.

hello people. this topic is a boiling one but i have been into this subject for years and with my data and experiences, i will try ro express my idea. i think Turkish Armed Forces is the most powerful in europe and the second in NATO. It is the largest in europe in terms of number. And is again one of the strongest ones in terms of equipment and using technology.

********. The largest, though by far not the most capable, military in Europe is the Russian Army, at over 1 million men.

Its not the size that matters, but the locomotion in the ocean.

1: Introduce yourself. You'll smart enough to figure out how.

2: Read something about other armies as well.

How comes that newcomers so often dig out very old threads (usually either one of the best/strongest/whatever, or of the A vs B kind) for their first post just to say that their homeland is the best?

Of course this is based on detailed anylysis and not on your personal opinion.
