    Thanks for the info Colonel

It's amazing how we go from tanks to nuclear-tipped AAMs in 1 thread.

Wasn't (completely) my fault this time. I didn't hijack it. I aided and abetted...

Not a big deal. Unless it's a really serious subject, I certainly don't mind if a thread that I start get's deflected to another course. It's alot fun just chatting about defense affairs :D

Just a take off on this stupid tangent, I had real beaver (as in rodent) as part of Winter Warfare/Survival course. Beaver lodges are easy to find in the Canadian Shield.

It's gamy, full of fat, taste like the tree bark that they feed on, and full of lice and ticks and takes forever to cook to platable taste.

If you can hold your nose, eating raw beaver can be excellent source as the fat takes forever to burn off in your body. One beaver could conceivable last you a month (losing your apetitite helps) Just make sure to eat some gunpowder once a week to get rid of the worms.

If I was out in the middle of nowhere with minimal supplies, I'd think about making up some good ol' Confederate cush

“We take some bacon and fry the grease out, then we cut some cold beef in small pieces and put it in the grease, then pour in water and stew it like hash. Then we crumble corn bread or biscuit in it [some soldiers made mush or paste of flour or meal and added one of both of these at this point instead of crumbs] and stew it again til all the water is out then we have . . .real Confederate cush .” The Life of Johnny Reb

unless u listen to the republican party or Fox news. But I agree a lot of good busts. Lot of things u don't hear about my buddys uncle kind of an odd guy paid a cab driver to go from Toronto down south to go somewhere so they held his uncle for a day and the cabby no idea. He had to find an alternate way home, haha.
People seem to be in some sort of denial that it's easier for terrorists to fly into canada and drive across the border. I dunno have you ever met anyone who works in a US airport? It's a 100 times easier to fly right in.
