I'm sure somebody thought of that...and then very carefully never mentioned it out loud.

i don't know, buddy, i think quite a few individuals like our tankie here know quite well what "fish fur" is...
The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in man’s soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: “This is the cause!"

don't know about that, but in real life pics were taken, many pics, those who fallen from grace (shot in the back of the head) were simply removed, i had a movie about stalin's purges, and there were numerous pics, before and after, ppl disappear from pics and not only from pics.

When was the last time we had a good old fashioned military parade in the USA? We sure don't seem too keen on having them.

Then again, we don't need to show off our military might in parades to showcase our power. All the world has to do is look around the world in our current theatres of battle to be reminded of how much we kick @$$. Welcome to America, please enjoy your stay and our perpetual state of war...

You're right about not being too keen on them.

Ground forces parades are extremely rare here in the States, and then usually only include troops and very few, if any, vehicles. (Period-specific parades excepted of course).

But the U.S. does put it's military power on display, just in somewhat less ostentatious ways: Air shows and aerial acrobatic teams and the various Fleet Week events held in a few cities.

You got that right! We have air shows.

I think our air shows are far better than the normal parades we see in other countries. Here we can interact with the men and women who actually run these equipment. They are real people, not just a stiff face with a spiffy uniform marching up and down the square.
