My high school love was in Greenpeace for years, rose to head their Entertainment division when she had accumulated too many arrests to remain an activist. Last time I saw her, several years ago, she regaled me with stories of various police encounters. She thought she was informing me of the profound dangers they faced; I thought her stories were hilarious.
