You are right. It would be a calamity if Greece and Turkey were to have a war. It would be an act of insanity that would have far reaching implications.

Where would the Tor M1s fit in that diagram? And I have a better question for you, Greek patriot , if Greece is so cool why didn't they but Tor M2 systems? Or S-400 instead of the 300PMU1?

Making an enemy of Turks wont lower the costs for the US, actually quite the opposite of it is true.

At the moment there is an interdependence between the US and Turkey, but the US need Turkey more than Turkey needs the US.

No one normal person likes war!
Peace like many other things in life need's two.
Not one how always demands and one which simply say yes.
Everything i have written till now concerning the past the past which influences the present allot if we take a closer look to the Greco Turkish relationships.
What we have here ... we have Greece witch trying to improve its economy and to ensure a better future for its people.
Our official foreign policy does not have anything against any of our neighbor ON THE CONTRARY we trying to help them to join the E.U.
Turkey on the other hand which have two governments one “Democratic elected” and one the really one the well known ”Military council of national security “ according its plan always pressing militarily Greece to give up of its national rights to the Aegean sea.
Greece in order to put a balance in this pressure maintain a Defense System good enough to ensure its security.
We don’t want war naturally but as I sed before peace needs two not one peaceful and one ready to take the advantage of the other threaten him with war CASUS BELLI in case it use its rights according the international law and I am talking about the 12 nm.
And is not only that Turkey is the one does not pay any respect to the international law and U.N when is maintain its armed forces to the REBUBLIC OF CYPRUS putting under occupation the half island an island which is a member of U.N and E.U. and has for this action 20 condemning resolutions of the U.N.
This is the current reality of the Greco Turkish relations Turks the mood for dialog conceder it as weakness of the opponent BIG MISTAKE !!!
We don want war because we know what war means BUT we are ready to defend everything belong to us we did it in the past we will doit to the future if needed.
