How very strange. How very sad. I highly doubt your country is unique in this.
On a parallel, when I was growing up we used to play outside a lot. I don't think kids go outside any longer. I stretch my mind as far as I can to find some good in the internet for children, but I can't find it. Access to information is great, but kids need to be kids. You wouldn't lock a puppy up in a room all day when their is a yard to play in.

One good thing: when the wars are exclusively fought via remote control, these kids are going to be great warriors. Xbox, Nintenda, PlayStation...bootcamps of the future! Keep the faith FInland! You might be on track after all.
