"You are correct, there are alot of hush-hush ops out there where the soldiers will not be viewed by the public. I have personally seen them and am in total admiration for what they do everyday. They walk amoung the civilians and take greater riskd than everyone else. I just want to say thank you for all your hard work for those who are never mentiioned."

Now Hawg, what would ever make you think that???

Hey I'm all for women being in the military. I think they should be in the draft too. I am a female cop and I have never had a problem doing my job because I was a female. Trust my from experience. With the right training and will power many women can put men to shame in hand to hand combat. Also it is doubly embrassing for a man to get killed/subdued by a women. I always love seeing the big macho men sitting in the back of my car. I say good job to the lionesses.

There's a video on the net of a 300lb Afro-American perp knocking a woman cop unconscious with a single jab to the chin that you probably ought to see(captured by her dash cam). Good thing for her he wasn't a rapist...

And of course the reason there are so many rapes against women is because a woman can so easily defend herself from a male assailant. Which alse explains why 95% of domestic abuse cases involve the man beating the woman.

Do not take men for granted, or you may find yourself dead.

This goes for men too, don't take men for granted, you'll end up dead.

Anyone who thinks a woman is a man's equal in a melee without far superior training or where a huge size mismatch is present is deluded.

That looks like a Philly cop badge...where are you a cop?

That because most men are macho jerks...These same men pisss in their pants, when faced with fierce men half their size.

    Pun intended this time?

Well this whole issue, generally speaking no finger pointing, really reflects the culture of a society and the culture in the institution, i mean the mixing of sexes argument, not the macho v femininity. Surely, people in such a serious profession should be able to control themselves. No one expects people in uniform to be upstanding citizens when they have R&R etc and they go out let of steam get drunk yahoo whatever it is they want to do.

I don't think it is impossible for all to act responsibly and maturely in this situation. You can say i have no experience in the situation not having military experience yadda yadda yadda, but i treat women with respect as an equal, sure i might discreetly have a second glance if something takes my eye, i'm not going to loose all sense of time space and reality and do something stupid. Thats in any situation. Why would bunking in the military be different. Obviously with everything you will get a few bad eggs.

I can understand if the reality of the situation is different, and stuff does go down too often, but i would think its a matter of correcting the institutional culture that causes it. It is not impossible.

Female strengh wise, i reckon if a 300 pounder caught me squarely with a well placed punch in the head i'd be on the floor in a mess (and hoping he wasn't a buggerer) i don't care what size you are, 300 pounds of force if used properly is deadly (unless its a WWF fight) anyone else would be the same. Strength doesnt have a great deal to do with size, ive seen big men buckle doing jobs little men can do. Its all about attitude, if a woman understands what she is getting into to take on these positions then she has attitude! If she doesnt really understand what is expected, she soon will, and be transfered to a position more suitable.

I don't really blame some of the old schoolers around here having a problem with it, times do, have and are changing, at the disgust of all ye conservatives

    PaulG,
Yes it was I'm not a tall guy, but can hold my own even if a guy is bubble my size, (which generally is the case)

I wonder, how can a man hit a girlfriend/wife and feel proud of it. In my 8 years of marriage I have never even raised my hand at my wife, even when we have had heated arguments (which is normal with all couples). Off the topic, but, in a relationship no one wins an argument, always be the one to apologise, then both can laugh at their sillyness.

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!

I'm not jumping the girl, just trying to impress upon her that complacency and contempt for one's opponent- especially when fighting someone that can hit about 200%(if not more) harder than you, and take about twice the physical damage(if not more)- is a very bad thing.

You may be surprised to know that i just hired a female repossession partner. She's a reservist in the US Army NG.

The man she replaced is an ex American rules football player that weighs in at 310lbs and stands 6'3" tall.

    Why?

She's a new soldier that will likely find herself in Iraq and or Afghanistan soon. I guess it's my own small way of making sure she goes to the CZ with confidence and awareness of her surroundings.

She'll learn both in the repossession field. But most importantly, she'll learn to not take her opponent for granted.

BTW, i don't hit women either.

Sniper, so your business is purely going in with a bailif, or relevant documents, and taking stuff? Or do you initiate contact by mail/telephone first to attempt to resolve the situation before it goes that far?
