"Yeah more like female hater is a good name for him."

LOL, you could not be more wrong. I love women, to my very core.

You just can't handle the fact that i speak my mind, and am not afraid of ruffling feathers when i do. They can't do that in the Army, they have to keep their mouth's shut. I'm a PFC now miss, i say whatever i want, whenever i want.

If i see a duck, i call it a duck.

"I would hate to be his significant other or if he has one."

Don't worry about it, you wouldn't be.

"She would be do looked down upon and under-estimated it's not even funny. "

She'd be treated exactly as she deserved to be treated, and that is a choice that is entirely up to her. The last one chose to be treated with contempt, hence she is no longer in my life.

Now i just play the game until i find one worthy of my heart again.

"All I can say is what happened to the man who under-estimated Bobbet???"

What happened to him is that he's now a very rich man.

She F'ed him up while he was asleep.
I think it's safe to say if she tried it while he was awake she'd have gotten a black eye for her troubles, and he'd still be a very poor man.

Takes a lot of skill and courage to attack someone in their sleep, eh miss?

"That is exactly the same sexist stuff any un-knowledgeable male would say."

If i wasn't an NCO in the US Army Infantry, you might have a leg to stand on miss, but i was, and you don't.

I know EXACTLY what i'm saying, and i've seen it with my own two eyes.

"I spent every single night in a room with 34 other male soldiers where I was the only female present."

Just for clarification- that was a common dwelling, ie an open bay barracks?

"I can assure you that I never once prositituted myself in any way."

Good for you. Unfortunately, not all women in uniform are as moraled as you miss. Prostitution in the ranks is a fact, whether you wish to acknowledge it's existence or not.

"And furthermore, I took part in several ops with the Marines in which not one male ever had to look back for me."

Marines and soldiers ALWAYS look back for their comrades, if they're worth a damn.

"They didnt direlect from duty to watch over me at all."

You wouldn't know it even if they did.

"Women in the military are not a hinderance in any way."

Yeah...tell that to ships that leave port with X number of women, and return to port with Y number of women because some of them got knocked up during the cruise. Tell that to the units that have to replace knocked up female troops because they can't keep their pants on.

As an example i would point to the oh so lovely miss England of Abu Ghirab. You're right, she was a model soldier.

"That sexist remark deserves an apology,"

Don't hold your breath, i'd hate for you to die waiting for something that isn't coming.

I make no appologies for speaking my mind, ever.

Perhaps if the NCOs in today's Army were still allowed to do so, you wouldn't be so shocked to hear a CANDID, HONEST opinion delivered without touchy-feely window dressing.

But they can't, so obviously you're not.

"you basically told me to go to hell for all the time I served and that my friend is the highest insult."

First of all, i'm not your friend.

Second of all, i spoke my mind honestly. If you can't even handle a former Infantry NCO's honest opinion and remain rational, it doesn't speak very highly of you as a soldier.

    "Did you ever deploy??"

Yes i did, and odds are you were a very small child at the time.

"and how many women have you worked with in a combat zone?"

There were no women in any combat role whatsoever during my foray onto foriegn soil. Based on my observations of them on CONUS duty in support roles and under my tuteledge on the range, i do not bemoan their absence.

I've served with dozens of females in the states, and instructed dozens more on the rifle range. In fact, i just ****-canned a current female reservist because she was completely useless.

If there's a female on this board i'd serve with it's VVV, not you. Look to her as an example of how to rationally argue a point without becoming irrationally offended, because she far exceeds your skill in that regard.

I've had this discussion on four different message boards, with females ranging from USAF pilots, to a senior USAF NCO, to a female military historian, and all of them were able to understand that i am merely saying what male soldiers think but are too afraid of the PC police to say. I'm a PFC now, aint nobody gonna tell me to bite my tongue to make someone else feel warm and fuzzy.

They all listened to my arguments, made their counter-arguments, and none of them ever 'demanded an appology'. All of them argued based on the facts, and made concessions that there are OBVIOUS social problems created by co-ed service, and that there are obvious physical advantadges held by men.

These are the facts, whether you wish to acknowledge them or not.

None of them denied it as you did, because they all have a grip on reality that you seem to lack.

I would point out that an Indian Captian of Infantry, an Indian Brigadier General, and a Canadian Lt. Colonel, all of whom have posted on this thread, have agreed with, or furthered, my conclusions.

    I don't BS troop...what i say is what i mean.

You ought well to be used to that considering your claims of service.

If you can't handle honest debate without getting irrational, then HOW THE HELL am i supposed to trust you at my back when things really get tense?

    Answer: I wouldn't.

Fortunately for both of us, you wouldn't be anywhere near my back during a combat operation because females are not allowed on the other side of the FEBA unless they've got wings.

A more appropriate question would be did she do anything right?

To which the answer would be no.

    VVV: "Aww such a sweetie."

    Just honest miss.

Julie: "Snipe, I've never seen you let a woman get so far under your skin before.....calm down and take a deep breath sweetie, or you're going to go into convulsions"

She's not under my skin. She's just in denial, and i am not one too look the other way to preserve someones delusions.

Luna: Whatever you do, don't ask me about her skills with a firearm. I took her to the pistol range to verify her shooting skills so i knew what i was working with.

She almost shot one of the range hands by accident.

armylioness, I thank you for your service, and I trust that it was honorable and valuable.

Sniper is a notorious chavanist on this topic, and he is ignorant about most aspects of females in the military. He was Infantry (and good for him), and that means he really has a skewed view of what value female soldiers bring to their country's service. He's known a few, worked with fewer, and respects almost none at all, presumably because there is anecdotal evidence that some weren't worth their pay. He refuses to acknowledge that this is true of EITHER sex.

Prosititution in the ranks? It's happened. And not just with females. Of the females that have so transgressed, it has been a ridiculously small number, and the occurences have not been at approaching the rate that young men kill themselves either intentionally or unintentionally. Young males will cause their commanders MUCH more trouble than the same number of young females will, and I've seen that with MY own two eyes. So, does Sniper advocate not taking in teenaged males for military service in order to cut down on problems? No. And that is because his males-are-the-only-sex-suitable-to-be-warriors ethos won't allow him to support what would obviously be a better net gain for the military - keep the females, get rid of all males under the age of tweny-one. (I don't advocate that, either. I would just deal with the problems that BOTH groups bring with them, because BOTH propositions are a good deal for the military.)

Not everything about soldiering is about one's worth in hand-to-hand combat. Almost NOTHING about soldiering bears on that AT ALL, and the fact that he hammers on that point kind of proves mine. Physical strength is important for warriors, and nobody with any sense disputes that. But not everybody needs to be able to change the track on an M1A1. Tankers do, however, and that's why only those with the physical capability SHOULD be tankers. And if a female soldier is a fantastic intel analyst and she happens to meet all other Army standards, well, should we get rid of her because as we all KNOW, only the barrel-chested, beetle-browed, knuckle-draggin' males that score 300 on their PT test but can't spell "I-Rawk" are capable of soldiering?

He claims you're irrational. But actually, you're the one with practical experience in the matter, not him, and he dismisses it as being of no value, or unbelievable based on his experience. As the old Vietnam vets used to tell the 'bar-stool experts' that would invariably try to tell 'em what they did wrong Over There, "If you weren't there, shut the **** up". It's an expression of contempt for someone that doesn't know the reality of a situation that they are holding forth on, and his assertion that you needed propping up while you were Over There kind of strikes me as the same thing. If he wasn't there...well, you know the rest.

Again, I appreciate that you've stepped up to sacrifice so much for your country's benefit, and that you took the obligation voluntarily, and accepted all that comes with it - the short pay, the physical danger and hardship, and the subordination of your own freedoms to protect them for your countrymen. For this you should have the thanks of your countrymen, not a sneering devaluation of your duty, freely given and honorably discharged.

Fortunately for both of us, you wouldn't be anywhere near my back during a combat operation because females are not allowed on the other side of the FEBA unless they've got wings.

First of all...... who asked if I would want to stand by your side in combat anyways. To me, you let me get under your skin and that shows your in-experience with confrontation just as much as mine. I wasn't attacking your opinion i was saying you can't made a justification as all females are worthless that broad. I by no means am worthless and sorry your f'in reservist was so crappy but she doesn't represent all of us now does she? You are a shallow person in my eyes b/c you have such a low outlook on women in general. Your bad experiences with female dropping their pants and getting replaced has no bearing on my perspective. Did you ever stop to think that if there wasn't any willing dick out there to stick in them they might not have ever gotten pregnant? In my experience i seen loads of married soldiers (even with babies due) who were messing with all these girls. So I could easily say men are pigs in my eye, but I don't!! I can't make a judgement just off a few bad apples. I wanted to let you know that I wouldn't give you the time of day if I ran across you anyways. I would flip you the bird and go about my buisness. You can construe that anyway you want too. I don't down you for your opinions but your basis is inconclusive. How many shitty males have they sent home b/c they shot themselves and to afraid to go into combat? Well i seen quite a few and there were women to replace those cowards, cause we had to step up and fullfill the roles. That is why I think your full of crap. and furthermore, you said you were a range NCO, well you must have failed there by letting people push through who you thought couldnt be trained to standard. Im a civilian too, so I don't give a damn about your prior service or respect that either since you claim that I'm such a bad person in your eyes, trust me it is more than mutual.

Blue, i never said a word about females serving in anything other than the combat arms, except for the obvious and documents social problems that have arisin from a co-ed force, and from lowered dual standards of physical proficiency and uniform.

I have also NOT only focused on HTH, i have discussed road marching, crew duties, and weapons proficiency. I've stressed HTH only because it is the final word on the effectiveness of any given infantryman.

    Read back through the thread.

You on the other hand are letting your rear echelon view affect your judgement on what's needed of combat arms troops, which is all i'm discussing.

    Perhaps you missed that.

To you, actual infantry combat is just an abstract consideration sitting in a secured airbase or in SOCOM.

To an pointy tip of the spear type, your views are an abstract consideration of 'what it's really about'.

We simply have diametrically opposed views of the military, and what's needed, because we were/are involved in diametrically opposed sections of it.

To a guy in Intel, this is understandable.

However, your military has nothing to do with where bullet meets bone.

There are two kinds of soldiers, the quick and the dead.

Nah, i just giggled, rolled my eyes, and took the firearm back.

The guy fixing the pulley system downrange a few lanes over was pretty pissed off though...
