    Major China Air Force re-org. Bye Bye Air Armies. Hello air corps.

    The rumor has been flying around for a while now but this PLA daily article sorta confirms it.


    Aviation Brigade stationed at Xinjiang conducts night time cross region training to ensure new equipment and personnel are fitted into mission requirements in the new year.

    Old orbat: MRAF (military region air army) Air division (fighter, attack, bomber), indept regt (recon, ECM), Air Regiments.

    new orbat; Air Corp, air Brigade, air battalion, (mix-and-match at btn level)


    2nd PLAAF air division will become China Air Force 2nd Air Corps to take on 4th, 5th, 124th, 126th air brigades. 42nd air division will be decommissioned.
    9th and 18th air divisions will be merged to form the 9th air corps and take on 25th, 26th, 27th, 52nd and 54th air brigades.

    空2师直接改称空2军，将42师部队也调归新的空2军。空2军辖4，5，6，124，126五个航空兵旅； 9师、18师合编成空9军，下辖25、26、27、52、54航空旅；
