    Pin,

Your wife may be the Master and you the Serf.

In my family, we are equal partners and we give each other our space. That is what is democracy all about!

I think you're misconstruing the reason that most nations oppose a formal declaration of independence by Taiwan. They are against it not as a matter of principle, but because they want to preserve cordial relations with China. That's all. If China did not huff and puff and threaten to go to war with Taiwan upon that declaration - thus forcing other countries to have to decide whether to help Taiwan - most countries would recognize the new country immediately. Thus, a Taiwanese declaration of independence would emphatically not make Taiwan the enemy of any of those countries (except maybe China's vassal state, North Korea).

Another thing. I haven't responded to too many of your postings not because of the overpowering logic of your arguments, or because I'm ignoring you. It's just that there is only so much time in the day. In a related vein, don't take things so seriously. Arguing about politics (or any other subject you can't personally do anything about) is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard.

    Zhang Fei,

Sorry, I thought that you will come with dark green announcements. I was wrong and would like to apologize to you. In fact, our opinion on Taiwan issue is surprisingly close with each other. Thanks.

like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard.
Be careful, your comment here is discriminating and insulting to the Special Olympics athletes. But I am assuming that you are not insulting them on purposely this time.

    gesar,

I sincerely invite you come to visit Tibet. Please use your own eyes to see everything.

Tibet is really a good place to be today. Tibetan people are living an increasingly improved life with more and more religion freedom. Most of them have never been this happy before.

During culture revolution, Mao did terrible thing to everyone in China including Han and Tibetan people. But most Tibetan temples have been rebuilt.

All schools in Tibet are required to teach Tibetan. All the public signs in the area where may have Tibetan residents (including Tibet, Qinghai, part of Gansu and part of SiChuan) require to have Tibetan.

Han Chinese can only have one kid. If both parents are Tibetan, they can have as many kids as they want. The Tibetans enjoy the privilege of affirmative action in the areas of college application, job employment and so on.

Several universities and colleges have been built in Tibet and educated many Tibetan kids. Before 1950, more than 90% of Tibetans are illiterate. Today, the illiterate rate of young Tibetan girl is even low than that of India.

The epic poems and stories of Tibet have been collected, published and put on display. The traditional Tibet religion, philosophy, arts and medicine are taught and researched in those universities in Tibet.

Many hospitals have been built in Tibet. The No. 1 leader is certainly a Tibetan for every county if its majority residents are Tibetan. The average Tibetan people’s life span has been increased dramatically since 1950. The Tibetan kid’s malnutrition rate is lower than that of India. That has never happened before.

Today, we have Tibetan scientists, doctors, engineers and professors in Tibet and other part of the China.

Before 1950, Tibet almost didn’t even have one life quality index that is better than India. Today, there are some.

Believe me, Tibet has a bright future. Tibetan people are using their wisdom to build a better and better homeland for themselves.

Tibetan and Han Chinese are living together and learn from each other on philosophy, arts, medicine and many other fields.

We have a Tibetan hero who has got a statue for protecting Tibetan wild animal. We got Tibetan hero who fought for defending China’s border in 62 war with India.

gesar, you got to see to believe. Don’t believe any propaganda. Don’t even believe me. You need to see and do the research to see the unimaginable progress that has been made by Tibetans and Han Chinese together.

Gesar, your comments on Japanese invasion are really inappropriate. You are disturbing the worst feeling of Chinese people. Japanese army did the worst thing that they can do to Chinese people. Han Chinese people didn’t do the same thing to Tibetan.
