Berside, Iraq did not have WMD, nor did it have Alqaeda connection.
|
Roto, it did have an al Qaeda connection. Please read the last few posts by myself and Shek. They clearly had a connection. Here's more.
The truth is out there. Feel free to keep ignoring it because it doesn't fit what you want the version of events to be.

Feb, 2001
Al-Watan al-Arabi (Paris) reports that two Iraqis were arrested in Germany, charged with spying for Baghdad. The arrests came in the wake of reports that Iraq was reorganizing the external branches of its intelligence service and that it had drawn up a plan to strike at US interests around the world through a network of alliances with extremist fundamentalist parties.
The most serious report contained information that Iraq and Osama bin Ladin were working together. German authorities were surprised by the arrest of the two Iraqi agents and the discovery of Iraqi intelligence activities in several German cities. German authorities, acting on CIA recommendations, had been focused on monitoring the activities of Islamic groups linked to bin Ladin. They discovered the two Iraqi agents by chance and uncovered what they considered to be serious indications of cooperation between Iraq and bin Ladin. The matter was considered so important that a special team of CIA and FBI agents was sent to Germany to interrogate the two Iraqi spies.

"The vice president is saying, I think, that there were connections between Al Qaeda and the Saddam Hussein government. We don't disagree with that. What we have said is what the governor (Commission Chairman Thomas Kean) just said, we don't have any evidence of a cooperative, or a corroborative, relationship between Saddam Hussein's government and these Al Qaeda operatives with regard to the attacks on the United States."
-- Lee Hamilton, the former Democratic congressman who is the 9/11 commission's vice chairman

"Al Qaeda also forged alliances with the National Islamic Front in the Sudan and with the government of Iran and its associated terrorist group Hezbollah for the purpose of working together against their perceived common enemies in the West, particularly the United States. In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the government of Iraq."
-- From a Clinton Administration Justice Department indictment on Nov. 4, 1998

-- CIA briefing

"Credible reporting states that al Qaeda leaders sought contacts in Iraq who could help them acquire WMD capabilities. The reporting also stated that Iraq has provided training to al Qaeda members in the areas of poisons and gases and making conventional bombs."

WOW, 8000 troops! Even India mobilized more troops duringthe tsunami. Infact, it send thousands of personnel from its airforce, navy and army with ships, aircraft, and ground vehicles even though it has almsot 1 million troops mobilized on its borders. America, the richest and most powerful nation on earth is barely able to come up with the 8000 troops and it has no useful equipment for them. It hink tehy have 3 navy warships and 1 navy medical ship on their way, but it will take atleast 5 days for htem to get there and the nubmer of aircraft they can use is limited.
dale, i didnt get that from the radio. Infact, the only person i ever listen too on the radio is savage(jsut so that i can laugh at a ll the bs he says). The golfing thing may or may not be true, but he was definetly in Arizona promoting his war.
Heres where i got hte golf thing from:

Do you two freaking idiots know what you're even talking about?
1st of all, I'm a Canadian Forces Officers who had served on 5 tours of peacekeeping missions, translated - combat missions. I have not served on one tour where I have not received fire and returned fire,
2nd, I wish we had a HAL doing out work. As it was, we had to rely on locals to do alot of our supplies and alot of work. That turned them either into two things - the local boss (whom only we can check) or the local target (whom only we can protect).
Do you pukes even know what we (and I mean the West) are asking of the Iraqis?
