Hell no, I have witnessed and been blown to the ground from a high voltage electrical explosion before (some claim they heard the BANG up to 10 miles away and rattled the windows).

That explosion if close up would have definately blown a person off their feet and made them probably deaf for a time afterwards if not burned.

High explosions like that if too close will leave you shell shocked until/if you regain you wits.

I'm a big fan of the hippie water color light shows of yore but God easily provides the best.

This is a singularly spectacular photo and worthy of the best of National Geographic. Big thumbs-up!

High deserts in the summer can produce some very similar electrical storms with multiple fingers of lightning reaching across the sky to each other and, literally, countless simultaneous ground strikes.

I've been in it and scared sh!tless. When you see three trees explode within five minutes and a mile radius of you, you're knee-deep in a bad place.
