China making Canada's Olympic Uniforms.

It just seems so typically Canadian. Enough to make you want to puke. I can just imagine the Governments explanation for this one as factory after factory in Ontario move to Third World countries. To hell with human rights to I guess.

yeah, my thoughts exactly. Do you object to importing rice from China? Lamb from New Zealand? Bad beer from Australia?

(Sorry Australians, I just never can resist)

Fosters is quite a popular beer in India.

It is equated with another beer called Tiger. I believe that is from Malaysia/ Singapore/ Thailand.

Both I am told are acceptable, but nothing super!

I believe India imports underwears from China.

I got given four pairs of new Italian designer jeans today as a present. When I looked at the label, they were manufactured in Turkey
As for Fosters, I suppose if you were dying of thirst in the desert....

What is the Chinese traditional drink?

Alcohol was a taboo and so there is no traditional Indian drink!

Theres no problem with China or any other country making our uniforms. The ONLY problem is within canada, our textile industry is struggling, so why not make the uniforms in our own country? The people in charge wanted to save alot of money, and they did just that.

Wine. In countryside, we drink homemade wines, made of rice or sorghum vulgare.

Why is it struggling and why does it deserve artificial help?

Ditto for the US ... except our textile industry collapsed by the mid 1950s and ruined the mill towns in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, etc!

that tag says made in Mexico; in an extreme act of irony those tags happen to be worn on the uniforms of the United States Border Patrol

After one look at them, I wonder whether we shouldn't have also outsourced the design.
