A new Victoria Cross?

BBC NEWS | UK | England | West Midlands | Marine threw himself onto grenade

You know you're hard as nails when.......

Good for him but if he has a wife she may be kicking his ass when he gets home.

When I first read that I thought another Posthumous award, have to admit I yelped with joy when I realized that he survived relatively unharmed.

What a guy, what a reaction, and what a selfless man he must be, prepared to give his all so that others can carry on.

After doing that any kicking his wife will give him will feel like foreplay.

I really hope that he gets the VC.

Good luck to him.

Tony

The blast blew his rucksack more than 30ft away but he remarkably suffered only severe shock and a bloodied nose in the incident

I don’t think this happened in the face of the enemy, so wouldn’t it be a different award other than the VC?

Or is there a precedent when something like this happens?
