11 survive 3 months in the Wilderness of the Russian far east

11 rescued 3 months after Russian shipwreck

What a cool story, now these are true survivors. Not the fake survivors on the TV show.

That is quite an amazing story. Now, were this a movie, the base would have been the site of secret and unnatural experiments, and the fishermen would have fallen victim to a biological/supernatural horror, a few escaping only to spread it to the outside world.

Complete with an opening montage of said experiments and the last grisly moments of the Russian garrison...

And here I thought that I was the only one thinking along those lines...I'd forgotten the zombie-preparedness sessions that we had with dalem.

Hmmm. Hollywood springs to mind. There would have to be a dashing male lead, and at least one gorgeous female, and a grizzled sea captain, and a devious, untrustworthy sailor with designs on said gorgeous female who is falling for the male lead and..........

And there we were, watching MST3K together. With a set up like that, how could I not be thinking that?

Oh, absolutely. I was actually thinking that the gender breakdown (3 women, 8 men) lent itself perfectly to casting that kind of movie.

I would rather watch the one where Hefner's bunny filled yacht crashed on some remote south pacific island.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one to think "zombie" when I read "abandoned military base" and "shipwreck survivers."

Milady, if I may suggest for you Rifftrax.

Truly wonderful.

I have a Cinematic Titanic DVD on the way but I've not seen it yet so can't judge. Yet.

And by the way, weren't we supposed to figure out whether or not we share Mayflower originationisms or something? The name in my family records is Tilley. I think we were the steerage Tilleys, not the abovedeck ones.

Who said a reality show should last all season. Most have overstayed their welcome by the 4th episode.
