Do see this on TV if you can

I have just watched an incredibly powerful TV documentary called "My Enemy's Enemy". Although it's about Klaus Barbie (the butcher of Lyon) an amazing amount of light is shed on the activities of various intelligence agencies in the period after WW2 when the Allies employed former Nazi SS and SD agents to assist them in anti-communist activities in mainland Europe and elsewhere. I urge you to see it should you get the opportunity to do so. It will be 2 hours well spent. caveat: some scenes are harrowing.

Philby was a disgusting traitor, one of no less than three in British Intelligence at that time.
