Islamic teacher cuts students ears
Teacher 's**** students' ears'
A teacher in the northern Bangladeshi district of Bogra has been assaulted by angry relatives after he allegedly cut the ears of 17 students with scissors. Officials say the teacher defended his action as imposing class discipline. Abdul Mazid Sardar, worked at an Islamic school, and was angry because his pupils failed to learn religious verses, officials say. Parents and relatives say some of those cut by the scissors were aged between six and nine, and required stitches. "As the students were creating chaos I just wanted to scare them by showing the scissors," Mr Sardar told local journalists. "Probably at the time an evil force mounted on me." Sacked Officials say that Mr Sardar was only stopped from harming more pupils by other members of staff who heard the children's screams. They say that parents and relatives attacked the teacher, who has now been sacked. He is now being treated in a local hospital under police custody. The Islamic school was established just six months ago and had some 35 students, all aged between six and 10. It had only two teachers - Mr Sardar and the school's principal, Abdul Mannan. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/3662488.stm |

that was off-topic.but still. What should i say ? Morons ? Ok , ill look back at all other religions too , before i utter such words. somewhere in south east asia , people crucify themselves on crosses , put thorns on their heads , in order to remember Christ. Out here in my town , there is a similar festival where they cut their bodies with knives.Yea its a hindu temple BTW.And we have the murugan devotees here who peirce their bodies and run over fires during annual festivals and lots like those. out there in some religion , they pluck all their hair in their heads with their *hands* before joining the religion.not sure about its name. i have mentioned all religions , you get the idea why ? i am hindu. there are morons everywhere.so long as you hurt yourself i dont care.but please dont hurt me in name of your religion. ![]() |

I wonder who is correct about Bangladesh.
I visited a Bangaldesh Defence Forum. They claimed that they were about to achieve superpower status. About to organise their nuke bomb. So, I think you guys are wrong.

Great thread -- It ought to become more and more obvious to even the most defensive of Muslims, that their silence, their apathy, their ignorance, has allowed a relatively small number, to put at risk the entire proposition that Islam is a religion.
A faustian bargain? lets see you make a case that it isn't one. |

roshan, those are shocking, heartbreaking pictures. I'm torn between outrage and tears. Any sign these forms of abuse (can't call them customs, or won't) may come to an end? Is anyone opposing them? This has given me a lot to think about (responsibility to other nations; what justifies one government imposing laws on another nation; ....) |
