On 30 September 1968, USS New Jersey's 16"/50 guns were NOT worn since she had been regunned shortly before her decommissioning in 1957.

Furthermore, as already mentioned in another thread, it was calculated that ~55% of the barrel life remained at the end of USS New Jersey's deployment in Vietnam.
