Well, I do happen to have 12 color photos of Alaska, actually. They're all here:

One of those rare color photos from the era...
Both, I think, superbly attractive ships. With greater beam, the Yamato is the more intimidating. The Alaska is more threatening. She appears as a rapier.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not halucinating Do you also see my comparison to the lines of "Peter the Great"?
