That White sticker to the far right looks pretty familiar. Been for a walk lately?

And now while were on the subject,,,,

While I was on my tour of the Big J, In the museum section there were these awesome,
big pages of internal exploded views of each level in the Jersey called "DAMAGE CONTROL PLATES"
Upon inquiring about them I was told that all four Iowas had multiple copies of them, each ship
had different layouts, (as each ship had subtle differences) and that alot of them "dissapeared" into
private collections over the years......and most disheartening they have no copies available for sale
"WHAT A CRIME!!!!!!!" as these diagrams easily show see picture.....

The DC plates really show whats going on under Iowa classes hood......
there is no publication out there that even comes close to the details
on those plates, next summer when I visit family in Jersey again I plan to take a
series of better photos will post them when I do

If any WAF brothers have or have access to them, I would pay for copies..... : )
    USSWisconsin likes this.

You DC plates that you found on the bulkhead starboard side in the museum are copy's of the originals that are normally found down below in DC central spaces. Copies of these are not available since they were ship specific and these that you have found on display are in very good condition.

I have several sets of blueprints for New Jersey including The Homeport Alliance Foundations (Lockheed/Martin) and others. I have yet to see a set or even one plate of the DC plates outside of the ship or under control of the USN records (Bu/ships.)

The plates indicate information that are not found on the normal blueprints that are scattered throughout the internet.

Theres only one man here I could think that may have a set but that would be 50/50 maybe even 60/40 chance he has them.

Yep, I know very well of whom you speak.....

I think he'll chime in if he can

but in the meantime I think when I go back next year, Ill be able to get better shots
by trying to get individual parts and stitch them back together in photoshop
...... I thought Id try anyway as I doubted anyone would admit to
    having them LOL

Man they sure are beautiful though......
