Agreed. Its not just the gun itself that has to be modified in the firing mechanism but also the hoists and ejection. For the ships not such an easy task. For your land based units pending their set up perhaps much easier if the hoists are not involved. For the ships it would have to be trial and error costing much time. Time they didnt have. Good read.
