Assuming there was an uprising in the US, do you believe the rebels could win? Personally, I doubt it. Look at the numbers.

    Roughly 2.3 million troops

    65,000 federal agents

    430,000 other law enforcement officers.

And think, we DO have some remaining allies.

Why the hell would there be an uprising to begin with?

And who the hell are these rebels?

It all depends on who the rebels are and the extent the federal troops are involved in over seas action. In the civil war, many of the rebels came from the U.S. armed forces. So, how many of the federal troops, agents, cops etc would be rebels? The reason for the second civil war would dictate the sides. You have to get a better handle on the variables to be able to argue for the winner.

The left wing would lose. Michael Moore would die of a heart attack during drill training and Howard Dean's motivational speech a la the Iowa Caucus would drive recruits away. Ted Nugent would follow up with a free victory concert in Central Park to celebrate NYC becoming a red state, guaranteeing Republican control of the White House and Congress until the day that the Klingons invaded the Federation.
