I swear there was a thread on this movie. Now I can't find it.

Anyways, I saw this at the $3 theater because I missed it when it came out 2 months ago. It's definitely worth $3. Some say it's worth $6.

The plot is completely unbelieveable. What can a giant robot do with a giant fist that a giant bomb can't? And why not build a dedicated club for the giant robot to use, rather than picking up a cargo ship and use it as an improvised club? Why not position all the Jaegers near the hole where all the Kaijus come out? Instead we disperse all the Jaegers and let the Kaijus do some damage first.

Don't watch this movie with a logical mind or through the eyes of military planners. Watch it as a homage to the Japanese monster movies of the 1950s and 1960s. Watch it through the eyes of a kid. Watch it as if you were a kid. It would be highly entertaining if you do so.

For those of you who can read Chinese, the writings in the background are fun to read.

This movie reminds me a lot of "Independence Day," a feel-good yet highly unbelieavable plot.
