No real sniper would even discuss this.

It's not a matter of what I'm saying, we both know that :) It's a matter of what I know.

About the only thing i'm willing to concede WRT your base of knowledge is that you probably know good pot when you're buying it.

Beyond that...i wonder how you even function.

If you've got something to say spit it out, otherwise go smoke another doobie and watch some scoobie doo cartoons.

I am curious how you feel you know what a 'real sniper' would discuss though...Seeing as how the only thing you know about snipers is that we're scary and dress in funny suits.

              Bill,

The Kentucky Long Rifle. Is it a rifle or smooth bore? I was under the impression the technology did not exist for rifling until 1800s.

Also, what was the ROF for your famous ancestors?

The KLR is rifled. Initial ROF for a clean weapon is about 3-4 shots per minute for the first minute, but that figure drops significantly as the barrel becomes fouled(which happens very quickly with blackpowder).

Sustained ROF is about 2 rounds per minute.

It really depends on the experience level of the operator, the quality of the powder, and his/her arm strength.
