Hello folks

A friend is going to visit New York in a few days. I'm managed to convince her to buy me some models, but I need to find stores first!

Can anyone point me to names/address of model/toy stores in the Manhatan area? I believe she will be staying somewhere around the Times Square area. Since I don't want to take advantage of her good nature (and our friendship) I don't want to make her move around too much just for this...

Any help?

Depends on what you are looking for - Trains? Planes? Ships?

A one-stop shop for most things is The Red Caboose (http://www.theredcaboose.com/index.htm). There's another place across the street called Manhattan Train & Hobby, but they are almost exclusively a model train shop
