    Happy Fourth! Gonna Make Noise...

    Happy Independence Day!

    I am so sick of hearing about North Korean rockets I am gonna loft more than a few.

    Too, I want to scare the Recession Demons right out of the County.

    So he else is going to torch a few? Attached are a few pix of the start of a three day bash some folks out in the country were generous enough to invite me to. Show us what'cha got!

    Hope those on O.H.M.S. stay safe and can be home for the festivities with friends and kin next year.

                          It turned out to be a soggy party with hours of heavy rain but it certainly did not dampen anybody's enthusiasm! Pix of our soggy billets and the obligatory smoker:

                            What we have here are the fruits of fields and farms that are producing because an unbroken chain of American farmers, fighting men, financiers and a host of hardworking types of all persuasions in between left us in a position to enjoy such a bountiful feast. Thank you!

                            The corn was sweet, white and right off of the stalk.

                            The pork cuts were soaked in apple cider for 9 or 10 hours and spent 27 hours in the smoker. A few bleary eyed stokers of varying degrees of sobriety held the temperature to around 220 F all the while.
