This is pretty interesting stuff. I Never knew advertisers and producers of popular television shows could be capable of such sophisticated things....

Yeah, they seem like such nice guys.:)) I did a year in advertising in NY back in the late 1960s and everyone knew about subliminal advertising, but I never saw any effort to use it at my agency. Hell, we just outright lied.

The closest we got to subliminal was jingles with catchy music...you know, "Pepsi Cola hits the spot..." and that sort of thing. Then you take a guitar riff from it and plant it in a pop song. You know the rest.

Nowadays advertizers are much more sophisticated. They pay producers to place their products in movies and TV shows as props.

In the 1970s whole TV series were built around a car brand like Starsky and Hutch's Ford Gran Torino and Route 66's Chevy Corvette.

The more a company advertises the more they are liable for their products. I like that.
