  • Thomas Ricks' "The Gamble"

I'm in the process of reading Thomas Ricks' "The Gamble" right now: http://www.amazon.com/Gamble-Petraeu...0012553&sr=1-1

So far it's what I expect from Ricks - a hard hitting account that offers some solid if at times polemic criticism of the military's performance in Iraq. No big surprises yet, but I'm only into chapter 2.

I was thinking of ordering it online along with no true glory through a friend.
Would really appreciate your review of it when you are done.

      Bolo,

I'm about 75 pages out from finishing, but it's right in line with the reviews/comments from Andy Exum's blog.

Thanks for the link Shek. Am definitely ordering it.
In truth the comments were much more entertaining than the actual review. I hope to get my copy delivered at the end of may.
