  • Superbowl XLIII

Quick, before the game gets going, who ya got? As a Cowboys fan, I can't abide by the Steelers surpassing us in the Lombardi trophy count, so GO CARDINALS!!!!

Looks like you are in for more disappointment. Pittsburgh gets a 6 pack and will be elevated to the elite to the envy of others.
Not to rub salt on an open wound but the Cowboys have been relegated to mediocrity ever since the dunderheaded owner fired Jimmy Johnson in favor of Barry Switzer. The cowboys will have a rough time until the fans rise up and drop kick Jerry Jones into the next time zone.
Removing a single turd from the cesspool doesn't make any difference.

      Porn airs during Super Bowl

(CNN) -- Super Bowl fans in Tucson, Arizona, caught a different kind of show during Sunday's big game.

Just as Cardinals' superstar Larry Fitzgerald watched himself sprint into the end zone on the stadium's Jumbotron during Sunday's Super Bowl, 10 seconds of eye-popping pornographic imagery "flashed" across the screens of those watching at home.

"We are mortified by last evening's Super Bowl interruption, and deeply apologize to our customers for the inappropriate programming," Comcast Cable said in a written statement.

"Our initial investigation suggests this was an isolated malicious act," the statement added.

Comcast, and several local television stations that carried the signal, say they are currently investigating what caused the interruption.

"It appears this material was only viewed by some Comcast customers," local Tucson television station KVOA-TV said in a written statement.

Television station KVOA added "when the NBC feed of the Super Bowl was transmitted from KVOA to local cable providers and through over-the-air antennas, there was no pornographic material," KVOA President and General Manager Gary Nielsen said in a separate statement.

lmao, like the game wasn't "exciting" enough :)):))

The officiating was terrible. The game could have easily gone the other way had the calls been more consistant.

No kidding cardinals 11 penalties for 106 yards! I watched one drive were the refs marched pitt down the field :( Not that I'm bitter or anything

I had no dog in the fight. I just don't like to see bad calls ruin a great game.

Cardinals played surprisingly well consider their poor regular season record. People thought the game would be a slaughter but Cards almost pulled it out.

Kurt Warner was amazing. He was almost given up by the NFL and then made a spectacular comback. He has the 3rd highest QB rating this season. That's pretty amazing given he's 37, never drafted, and won his last Super Bowl 10 years ago.

Not to mention he has all three of the top three passing yards in the superbowl :P

Seemed to me that the only guy throwing the red flag was the Cardinals' coach. He won the better part of them.

Kurt Warner was the lone reason I secretly cheered for the Cardinals. The guy's unbelievable. If Tom Brady and co don't destroy everyone again next year, hopefully we'll see Warner vs Favre :)

I tried watching a bit of this game, but I think I literally fell asleep after a while. That was because it was the early hours of the morning here but also because the sport is so boring.

All that it seems to involve is a player passing the ball to another player, who then throws it halfway down the field. If the ball isn't caught and lands on the floor, as it seemed to do 80% of the time, then play stopped again for another 5 minutes until the process repeats itself. Even if the ball is caught, play stops again for another 5 minutes if the player is tackled. There were long periods, actually during the game, when we were back inside the studio listening to three "experts" talking about the game. So there was more nattering than there was actual gameplay.

American football is based on rugby, but rugby (both types of rugby - rugby union and rugby league) is a much more superior game.

Whereas in American football players don't seem to mind wearing leotards, gigantic helmets, over-the-top, too big shoulder pads and hundreds of pounds in weight of Kevlar body armour, rugby players (a much more tougher breed) wear just shorts and shirts, no helmets (except those in certain positions but those helmets don't cover their faces) and much less bofy armour and padding. Players with blood streaming down their faces and having their eyes gouged by opposition players is the order of the day. American footballers are just nancy boys in comparison. If you don't draw blood during a match then you haven't really been involved. And, in rugby, play is more continous, and doesn't stop for 30 minutes every time a thrown ball hits the ground or a player is tacked.

American Football would probably catch on in Britain if there was a bit more eye-gouging, more bloody noses and more actual gameplay.

Yep, just nancy boys out there playing grab a$$ and lacking toughness. I bet you that if Theismann were playing rugby, he'd just walk it off, eh?
