      I'm going with old-fashioned - It's a Wonderful Life...and modern - Home Alone!

          1. It's a Wonderful Life - with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed

          2. Miracle on 34th Street - the original with Natasha Gurdin (Natalie Wood).

          3. A Christmas Carol - the TV version starring George C. Scott as Scrooge.

                  R??

The same movie is rated here "6" (i.e. anyone above six or with a guardian). (Had to watch the movie with my former girlfriend)

                    Hello Tarek,

I was concerned what if any of the members attempt to watch with family, hence added the rating.

And yeah, I checked Amazon UK and it says 15 and above.

                    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Love-Actuall...dp/B0000UI2QY/

It also shows a run time of 129mins but the US version I have at home is 135mins. so some scenes must be missing. Or may be the version you saw could have been edited further.

I just looked it up but this movie was not (in theater at least) edited for the German audience. Though I don't remember much that was "worth" cutting. (One has to keep in mind that Germany does not really care that much about sex or swearing when it comes to rating. Only violence can give you easily a harder rating. )

I'm kind of partial to Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol. In came out in the early 60's and was shown on TV a few years then I saw it once again in the early 90's.
