Hope this has not been done before, but who would be the most interesting list of dinner party guests that you could think of having at your table particularly at the end , when its just the gentelmen left to have port and cigars........for discussion.

The late Steve Allen had a TV show on that once. He had been thinking about it for years ever since he hosted his own "Tonight" type of show. It finally came to fruition and was titled "Meeting of the Minds."

Actors would play the parts of 2 or 3 historical figures with Steve interviewing them. His wife, Jayne Meadows, played a number of parts including the Dowager Empress of a Chinese dynasty that hid behind the thrown to give the boy emporer instructions and decisions.

One of the few who were not professional actors was an expert historian on Leonardo Da Vinci and played the part extremely well.

I could care less what ManRam has to say since its his mouth but Scott Boras' words, Brady is a great quarterback but Steve Grogan is a stud (played a full season with a broken neck and scored 11 rushing touchdowns!!!) and my license plates say YAZ&ORR, not YAZ&99. The Great One never played for the Beantown Bruisers so he's not at my table!

WABers - all of you would be invited, cept maybe Shamus, his table manners are infamous :));).How was I supposed to know that the monkey would do that to your Jello mold of Michael Collins???The man at the circus told me he was fixed.....and okay,maybe the catapult demonstration using the serving spoon and Swedish meatballs as ammunition was a bit much,but I did offer to pick up the dry-cleaning bill for your grandmother.I will admit that the parlour trick of yanking the tablecloth out from under the servingware didn't work out too well,but I did replace that silly Wedgewood china with something infinitely more practical,you don't even have to wash those Chinet paper plates from Wal-Mart:rolleyes:.Ever hear of letting bygones be bygones???Sheesh....what a bunch of stiffs....:P;):)).
