  • need help---about earthquake,and international rescue

    In China, somebody said,
when the earthquake magnitude reached 8,
the international rescue can get into the country that earthquake happened to rescue, and unnecessary to been allowed by the country that earthquake happened.

Are there any clauses like this in international treaty ,or UN treaty?

    need your help!

Sovereignty rules. No foreign rescue party can enter the country without the national government permission. You will note that Burmese Junta did not allow anyone in after the floods.

Beijing did try to get cute, requiring all foreign rescue parties to register with Beijing to do rescue work in the Taiwan earthquakes.

Some Countries are more "suspicious" about Rescue Agencies than others. They see Bandits behind every rock and not the wider picture of helping the needy. Agencies need the help and support of the host Country if only for supply and transport. If they are not welcome they won't get this vital element of rescue.
