During the oil shocks of the 1970's did the USSR export oil to nato countries?

Back in school, i learnt that they had 26% of world reserves and siberia wasnt the only place from where they drilled. So im sure they exported to fund their other programs.

They did export to other people (that's where Brezhnev got his money to do all the things he did). Problem was for him, the world wasn't close to hitting Peak Oil at the point. And I think Saint Ronnie got the Saudis to ramp up production, which sent oil prices crashing, and with it, any realistic chance for the Soviets to keep up the arms race.

They also exported it as aid to other socialist countries like Cuba and North Korea.
