What? Whether humans are the cause of global warming is up for debate. Whether the Earth is getting warmer? Shoot, if the solar system is warming, wouldn't it make sense that Earth is also warming?

People like that bug me greatly, (just tossing it out there) - judging by that and his other points he seems to be a par for the course Republican - is he a good public speaker?

Here is his quote from which they got that. I believe that he was just expressing his belief that humans are not the cause of the Earth warming, as they are also not the cause of other planets warming.

"Some people think that our planet is suffering from a fever. Now scientists are telling us that Mars is experiencing its own planetary warming: Martian warming. It seems scientists have noticed recently that quite a few planets in our solar system seem to be heating up a bit, including Pluto. NASA says the Martian South Pole's ice cap has been shrinking for three summers in a row. Maybe Mars got its fever from earth. If so, I guess Jupiter's caught the same cold, because it's warming up too, like Pluto.

This has led some people, not necessarily scientists, to wonder if Mars and Jupiter, non-signatories to the Kyoto Treaty, are actually inhabited by alien SUV-driving industrialists who run their air-conditioning at 60 degrees and refuse to recycle.

Silly, I know, but I wonder what all those planets, dwarf planets and moons in our SOLAR system have in common. Solar? I wonder. Nah, the science is absolutely decided. There's a consensus. Ask Galileo."

Nobody is going to agree with any candidate on 100% of the issues. For example, abortion is a non-issue for me (I'm not against it, and I don't support it). I think drug laws concerning possession for personal use ought not to carry jail time. But I concur with him over 95% of the time. :)

I don't like it when people put out such a right/wrong opinion on such a disputed issue. It's no better of him to say "I don't believe humans are responsible for global warming" than it is of Gore to say that we are. That's a scientific issue under intense debate.

Needless to say though, I'll still vote for him if he gets nominated, because every single Reppublican candidate with a chance is better than every Democrat with a chance.
