Do any US subs have double hulls? If not, why not?

    no. Different design philosophy.

what is the "Different design philosophy". doesn't a double hull reduce sound + help survivability?

Not neccessarily and thats the point. Look at how noisy Russian subs have been although they have made great strides. As for survivability check out the Kursk among other Russia/Soviet sub losses.

You say yes but those were catastrophes. Thats the USNs point if something catastrophic happens the point is moot. If less the single hull along with its damage control features are sufficient. Also if I remember correctly including far more safe, reliable and robust HiPAC equipment aboard USN subs.

I used to have a whole bunch of info on this but when you dont use it often it kind of slips the mind and your fingertips. Ill try and dredge some stuff up.

If a sub takes a hit from a torpedo at depth, does it even matter how good your systems are? won't you just crush at those depths after a breach in hull integrity?

"Look at how noisy Russian subs have been although they have made great strides" Akulas and Kilos are pretty quite though, some say even quiter than Seawolf or Virginia. Are they? Do you accredit their quiteness mostly to double hulls, tiles, or what?

            most likely.

Quieting is mostly due to new propellers, better machinery isolation and quality construction..

Double hulls have nothing to do with it. AFAIK new Russian designs do away with the double hull.

Strictly the answer very much depends on what you consider a double hull. Like a Typhoon? Then no. :)
