What would you guys say is your favorite quote.
None sticks with me as much as "People sleep peaceable in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to violence on their behalf." George Orwell

or maybe Sis Vis Pacem Parabellum- to have peice- prepare for war.
When in doubt empty the magazine.

      I remember that episode
The more I think about it, ol' Billy was right.

There are a number of quotes I like, though the sources may be questionable they are totally appropriate.

"If you want Peace, you must be prepared for War." - Julius Caesar

"Gentlemen, we have just won the war." - Winston Churchill on hearing that Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and he could now count on the full military and industrial support of the US to defeat both Germany and Japan.

"All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia." - Ronald Reagan answering the doctors how he felt after being shot by John Hinkley.
Able to leap tall tales in a single groan.

He also said "gee, I hope these doctors are Republicans."

Also, when Nancy arrived at the hospital, he said, "Honey. I forgot to duck".

Johnny Carson was host of the Academy Awards that week and congratulated the President for coming up with those great one-liners.

I remember those too. Reagan was a virtuosso master of the one liner.

Am i alone here in desperately missing his leadership?

For Nietzsche I prefer "When you look into the abyss, the abyss looks back."

Didn't Regan just say " I can't remember" when questioned by which angry senator? Ya gotta love it!
