You're GLAD they're not around anymore, Sniper?

I think they should've made a hand-held, more compact version for those "outnumbered" situations... with grenades, you risk killing yourself and that's no fun. But you whip out a hand-held flamethrower and EVERYBODY's your new best friend...

I wish they sold the damn things on eBay...

How cool would that be for deterring would-be burglars and the like?

S'Mores, anyone?? :Dbanana :<Firemad :Dbanana :<Firemad :Dbanana :<Firemad

1. Would hate to carry one in combat
2. Would hate to be shot at by one of them in combat
3. Wouldn't mind someone far away from me and on my side having one
4. Would be useful for mowing the lawn....hmmm.....

5. Don't want to be nearby when the thing gets hit.

No, you most certainly do not.

I don't like the idea of having a maximum range of about 30 meters either.

The Russian and Chinese are now deploying hand held thermobaric systems.

As in grenades?

The US Army has a new Thermobaric Hellfire that apparently has seen widespread use in both Iraq and Afdirtistan.

have you heard the stories from iwo jima? as soon as the flamethrower guys lit up to clear japanese caves and bunkers, you might as well of painted a bulls-eye on the damn thing because all the japanese snipers would immediately take him down, either killing him or detonating the tank and killing several more. a soldier was considered lucky if he got the chance to clear more than one cave. i for sure would NOT want to have one or be anywhere near one in combat. those incendenary grenades sound interesting though..
