The New Jersey Devils just routed the New York Rangers 6 to 1. The Rangers collapsed and allowed the Devils to have 12 power plays. Important injuries: Jaromir Jagr and Jason Ward for the Rangers, and Colin White for the Devils.
My flyboys- making their 11th straight playoff appearance- lost game 1 vs de Sabres 3-2 in Double OT.
Great game though...i LOVE playoff hockey. :)
That was a very long game! I watched the entire thing. As a devout enemy of the Philadelphia Flyers, I derived immense satisfaction from their loss. If it is any consolation, Robert Esche played very well. It bodes well for their series.
Also, more news on the Devils/Rangers series. Jaromir Jagr (Rangers #68) will not play in the next game due to an arm injury sustained during yesterday's game. This could be a critical blow to the Rangers.
