  • Silly historical facial hair.

A thread without aspiration. Simply (and I cannot emphasise that enough) for posting drawings - not you own, God help - of famous or notorious mil/hist figures with absurd facial topiary.

If no-one bothers then y'bespoke offerings will do as a pisspoor alternative.

On that note: Please stay away from anything OTT involving, oh, y'know hallowed religious figures. With the exception of ugula-bugula bongo-bongo thingies.

I imagine the mods will support me on the first half of that paragraph. Harshly. :)

If they edit the second half then they are frankly no fun.

i can't believe no one's posted gen. burnside yet, progenitor of the term sideburns.

There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

US Civil War generals have notoriously bad taste in facial hair.
