What are your opinions? One gunman, or a conspiracy?

Good topic, but I'm going to shift this over to the History Forum.
“He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities. He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. He represented the shadow, the inferior part of everybody’s personality, in an overwhelming degree, and this was another reason why they fell for him.”

        One gunman with good shots.

That's right, and do you know how far away he was?

He was two hundred and fifty feet away and shooting at a moving target.
Oswald got off three rounds with an old Italian bolt action rifle in only six seconds and scored two hits, including a head shot! Do any of you people know where this individual learned to shoot?

In the Marines! Outstanding! That individual showed what one motivated
marine and his rifle can do!

If you buy the magic bullet theory, if you don't; then there was 4 shots. The first official report was ...three shots were fired at the motor cade ( concluding three shots were fired, because three emty cartridges were found on the 6th floor) One hit the the president in the back, one hit the governor and the third hit the president in the head. Later that day a man named James Tague reported being hit in the face from a piece of concrete ( He was stationed on Commerce St. near the Triple Underpass, he was standing 270 feet to the left of the presidents car when he felt the sharp sting on his cheek, thats left, looking from the school depository building.) After investigating by Dallas police and FBI it was determined that a bullet did in fact hit the curb and concrete hit James Tague. That ment 4 shots were fired at the motor cade and Oswald was not the only shooter. In order for the Warren Commision to carry out its agenda, that Oswald was the lone gunman they had to explain the 4th shot, Hence the magic bullett theory was born by Arlen Specter . The 2nd offical story was... 1 bullett missed striking the curb, 1 bullett went through JFK's back (upper) out through his throat, then through Gov. Connallys back, shattering a couple of ribs, out through his chest ( around his nipple) and shattering his right wrist then into his left thigh, later falling from his thigh onto a stretcher at Parkland hospital in prestine condition. 1 bullett causing the fatal wound to JFK's head.

I think there were at least 2 gunmen. I remember seeing something on the History Channel, a series called "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" or something like that and they claimed that several of the bullets came from a water drainage extrance and that the gunman escaped by running down the sewer.

There was a special on the Discovery Channel last night effectively proving that the magic bullet could happen.

And others that say it couldn't have happened. If James Tague or Zupurder had not come forward the first official report would have been a slam dunk, 3 empty shells on the sixth floor and three hits. Tague coming foward proved that there were 4 shots, problem, they only had 3 emty shells, Then Zupurder's film created another problem, a way to time the shots by frame , the film shows that max. of 1.8 sec. could have elapsed between the earliest point at which JFK was first hit and the latest point at which Connally was first hit. They proved that the bolt on the rifle could not be operated in less than 2.3 sec. it could not have been fired twice during the time in which both men were hit. Either both men were hit by the same bullet or there were two assassins. So the magic bullet theory was created, it was the only alternative to a two- assassin theory. They never could determin which bullet missed. James Tague was never called for questioning by the Warren Commission, his deposition was taken 8 months after the assassination in Dallas, he stated that when he was hit in the cheek it was about the same time of the fatal head shot to JFK and he thought the shots came from the grassy knoll.

And world wide for over 40 years. LBJ formed the warren Commission to squelch the conspiracy theories that were circulating throughout the country. As Lee Rankin, a member of the Warren Commission stated...we are here to close doors, not open them! If you read all the evidence, the warren report and the wittness testimony, they picked evidence that confirmened the lone gunman theroy and discarded that which supported more than one shooter. But what they did was just the opposite of thier agenda, they added more fuel to to the conspiracy therories, that continue today. As Richard Nixon stated... The warren report is the biggest sham ever perpetrated by the US Government. I agree with that an since he was the biggest sham artist ever, he might know. Maybe some day the truth will come to the surface!

It has been conclusively proven that Oswald could have easily fired the 3 shots in the time elasped. It was something like 6 seconds not 1.8 as earlier posted. I watched a 70 year old firearms expert dry fire 3 rounds in under 5 seconds with an identical rifle.

My thoughts, Oswald was the only gunman but I think it was more than just a lone gunman incident.
