    Pleasure.

My father was in Burma and in the Battle of the Admin Box.

It was a subject for my exam in Part B exam.

    Colonel.

That was the stupidest of comments I have seen.

Ask this bloke to tote up the numbers the tiny island UK contributed and compare the number killed.

I am flabbergasted at the ingratitude of these idiots.

Luckily not yet , But from what i have been told they really know their stuff, very good counter snipers apperantly. They usually get a lot of praise from two units. Army Aviation Pilots; who carry out sling operations near the Mountainous region, and the troops involved in unconventional warfare. Both hold them in high professional regard...

    Hawkeye,

    I was in the Infantry.

And you, if I may ask.

    Retd.

    Joined 1963. Commissioned 1967. Retired 2002.

On commissioning you are posted directly to a formation and not to an Infantry battalion?

Same question as Ray sir. Most armies send their officers to the parent unit after commission, how come you landed in a corps HQ?

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!
