Ever saw the British Comedy, Coupling?

Races have a culture, not traits.

Well as far as the British go here are my thoughts:

    Stiff upper lip
Pig headed stupidity in the face of defeat
    Able to queue
    Traditional
    Blundering
    Self-depreciating
    Sarcastic
    Fair play
    Sporting
    Liberal
    Multi-cultural
    Reserved

Most Americans think the British have a weird (if at all) sense of humor, not true. Once you take a little time to understand it (and them) they are quite hilariously funny...if a bit different. Of course they say the same about us...

British humour tends to be quite sarcastic and at times cynical and perhaps even a little sardonic. There is also a tradition of black humour in Britain, Little Britain being a case in point.

The ability to queue is the highest skill humanity can achive in my opinion! It has seen us through two world wars, the Depression, recessions, the decline of the Empire, strikes and petrol shortages. It's the bedrock upon which Britain is built.

    All very true.

Hence my assertation that the British people no longer have the mere ability to queue.

They are no longer able to resist the urge to queue.

    @TopHatter

You can tell Britons abroad from a queue of people waiting without too much complaining in roaring heat or a downpour, etc (that and in hot countries we tend to be bright red and have skin falling off ).

They're also the ones with plane tickets saying "Destination Majorca"

We used to have a Brit ex-pat working here, and I used to endlessly pester him to tell me all about "Old Blighty"

You should probably amend that one to "Used to get the urge to conquer large portions of Europe"
