    Asim,

Not only don't you know who you are, but very suspicious of people who do know who they are. You are sometimes ten or twelve people a day, and sometimes four or five people an hour!
Thats because you spend more than the avg normal human being would to figure out a person you hardly know other than on WAB! You're always searching for the larger meaning of whatever miniscule utterance of mine, which confuses the hell out of your exhausted little brain then you start ranting because I gave you a headache. Well boo-hoo. Suck it up and be a man.

    How powerfull ?
Religiously, God's power is said to be unquantifiable (thats a word right?).

Don't you think you should put this into perspective?
Exactly, one ministers comments does not reflect how everyone feels. Even the Kuwaitis are giving the much needed oil to America right now.

Nowere in the Holy Quran is quoted that HE'll manupulate such forces to punish humans...it's unislamic to even think so!
    Well said and very true.

And yet there are dolts who champion such rot.

So, the Ministers in Kuwait are footloose cannons?

They do not represent their govt's views!

What is the principle of governance they follow?

I thought the Ministries are based on "Collective Responsibility".

That means what Shaukat Aziz, as the PM says, does not necessarily mean that is what Musharraf will say!

And yet such a brouhaha is created if Rumsfeld says anything just for a lark!

    What profound logic!

Hokey Pokey, Hokey Pokey till the end of time.......

"Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination." - Benjamin Franklin.

I also love the slyness prevading in Kuwait of pledging oil (not for free) and at the same time publishing such an idiotic article by a Minister. It is becoming endemic in that part of ARabia.

Can the Minister write that the Sheik is a dumb dolt? If he can then I will believe that the man exhibited independent thought!

Religiously, God's power is said to be unquantifiable (thats a word right?).
That implies you cannot measure it.
10 'meters' - you compare the length of the object with a 'meter'.
Therefore theoritically unquantifiable is also relative simply because it is something that is comparably bigger than what we can perceive.

    You got no clue yet.
And yet we talk of Allahs punishments !

Put it into your head - Allah or God has no say in such events. It simply is out of our ordinary perception.

    Samudra,

It is human arrogance to assume everything God does is for the advantage or disadvantage of Man.

so what do you think god is?
    What is gods job?
what is gods role in what we do/ what occurs in the world?

Is there things god cannot control, or does not control?
What better thing does god have to do than run his creations?

BJP murdered 2000 muslims, they were in the government back then does that mean, its Indian policy to do so?

You keep on saying punishments, like you're more convinced that Katrina was a punishment than the Kuwaiti nut. I've said it over and over, its not upto humans to decide God's motives.

It is human arrogance to assume everything God does is for the advantage or disadvantage of Man.
You're probably right and religiously, its also wrong. In Pakistan, you'd see religious people say several times (Allah behtar jaanta hai), God knows best. And any believing person that recognizes his or her existence to be humble in front of God, would also just leave it at just that, that God would know best.

Sam, we're of course discussing this as believing people. I don't force you to get anything into your head, why should you ask me to get something in or out of my head?

It's a belief, you have yours I have mine.

I have the least problem if people like this Kuwaiti Official and his supporters keep their traps SHUT !

Projecting god as a cruel being going around the world and punishing the kaffirs for being kaffirs and justifying that absurdity in the name of ignorance and "god knows best" like statements deserve rebuttals.

Worse than rebuttals, it shows they need to be fought...

He may even miscalculate and slide these weapons off to terrorist groups to invite them to be a surrogate to use them against the United States. It’s the miscalculation that poses the greatest threat-John Kerry

No one's projecting God to be cruel or he's out to get the Kaffirs. Natural disasters strike everywhere alike. Some die in accidents, some die in natural disasters, some die on the battlefield.
