    Barack Obama and Respect

While Mrs. Giffords certainly deserves respect, and a great deal of admiration for all she has been through and overcome, to name a ship after her is in my humble opinion a sham. She was shot by a lunatic, and a more fitting tribute to her woulld be to name a trauma center after her, and leave the warships to those whom at least had a naval background or actually accomplished some great act. I will undoubtly cringe the day they decide to name a carrier the USS B***** O**** (I don't even want to type the name)

IMHO, it will be a cold day in Hell if a Naval ship of ANY kind is named after He-Who-Shall-not-Be-Named, especially if Romney (hopefully!) is in the White House next year.

I believe that any Naval Officier who even suggested calling a warship USS Obama would effectively end his career. I doubt it would ever happen - perhaps a dingy with a donkey in it...

Sigh...well at least he was a naval officer. Still though, would it have killed Mabus to name DDG-1002 after an MOH recipient?

At least he isn't the Flip Flop King. Even his own party can't stand him. How's the old saying go: Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line. Just six months ago all of them were saying that the Mittster was the worst thing that could happen to them, and now it has. Ann Coulter said it best: If Chris Christie doesn't run Romney will be the nominee and they will lose. Should be fun to watch.

I am not voting for Romney, I am voting against "O". I imagine alot of others will follow suit.

Back on topic I think it would be appropriate to name a garbage barge after our current occupier of the White House. I mean after all he is full of more $%^& than a Thankgiving turkey.

He may not deserve to have an aircraft carrier named after him, or a Littoral Combat ship, but he at least deserves enough respect to not be disrespected.

Queen Elizabeth II gave him a bust of Winston Churchill, he gave her an Ipod. That is disrespect.
He has gutted the military, and forced some to leave the service prematurely against their will. That is disrespect.
He has forced Obamacare on the American people when the overwhelming majority did not support it. That is disrespect.
He let Pelosi and Reid spend us into massive debt with all their social BS programs. That is disrespect.

I can go on, but you get the idea.....yep a garbage barge is quite fitting for BHO.

I don't mean to come across as confrontational, nor do I want to be thrown off this forum for hijacking this thread so I will leave it at that.

Start by turning off Fox News. As much as 75% of Americans support the majority of the Affordable Care Act when they are asked about the individual aspects of it other than the mandate to have insurance. The Republicans axed the military with their budget cuts. The 'BS social' programs help support million's of elderly, children, mentally disabled, military veterans, and the working class who often make nothing more than minimum wage.

Maybe The Mittster wasn't the only one born with a Silver Spoon in their mouth.

President Obama has done more to help the working and middle class than Bush, who did nothing but help the rich and corporate billionaires who swindled their profits and have certainly not done their part in relieving the unemployment statistics.

    Obama deserves better.
