But, as the old smoke-filled back rooms of years past no longer call the shots, he'll probably drop out after the first 4-5 primaries unless he's on the leader board. Right now I see him as a prime VP candidate.

Santorum is out of his league and I suspect he's self-grooming himself for some role in the next administration should the GOP win. Or he may be after the PA governorship, which would a good stepping stone to a future run for president. But right now, he'll remain the caboose among the candidates.

And I'll throw this out, Palin will not be a VP candidate even if she wants it. Once bitten, twice warned.
Huntsman is effectively out. No one has ever won with a "New Hampshire only" strategy in the early primaries. Santorum only seems to attract the evangelicals. Yeah, Palin's not a factor.

Perry is coming out with his flat-tax proposal, which will probably give him a boost. Bachmann is a longshot.

I think pretty much everyone is expecting a three-horse race. Cain, Perry, Romney.

The dems are enjoying the sniping between the GOP candidates almost as much as the repubs enjoyed the sniping between Hillary and Obama in 2008, lol.

I think the best way of solving it is to simply declare myself Hitler and free them up to decide who their politicians actually are. I get the added bonus of being notorious, a descriptive I've always coveted....

Look guys, we can only have one Hitler on this board.

Although Heil Pari does roll nicely off the troung, it does seem to me that dale has the prior claim based on the historical liberal hysteria WABdata.

Someone is going to have to be Mussolini.

Isn't being a fascist the main thing anyway?

I was compared to Klansmen too! One of my fave threads, right after the Broken/Karl Rove masterpiece.

I like that. You set it on a tropical island, and as they get knocked out of the competition they get thrown into the volcano.

I'm more of a closeted Ayatollah myself judging by pre-2007 posting.

    Don't look terribly Aryan.

Not even for the chance of dancing the mambo on a tropical island with someone in a leather overcoat?
