    Paul Revere's ride (Palin Version)

And some people want to trust her with nuclear weapons.

And then to call it a "Gotcha Question" and claim that she was right all along.

Maybe she needs to go to Summer School instead of a bus tour where she wants to "Educate us" about our past

Surely either she or her PR people would have recognized that someone would eventually point out that she answered the question re Paul Revere incorrectly, so they must have planned for her response for when the time came. But why not fess up with a "Yes. Sorry. I meant 'the British are coming'. My bad." Even her twisting of historical events in the second interview was off. I was half expecting her to twist her initial response with "But you have to remember that we were British back then, so yes, Paul Revere did warn the British. The British colonists that is." Historically correct? More so than what she said in the interview, but she probably thought that the Declaration of Independence was already signed prior to the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

But hey. Isn't that what most politicians are good at? Covering up mistakes and pretending they never happened?

I could have got the basics of this story right before my 10th birthday.

What is especially funny about this (I've been following a discussion on a more right wing forum) is to watch the knots into which Palin apologists will twist themselves to prove that she is correct.

Palin thrives on this sort of thing. To her & her supporters it is just more proof that the 'elites' are all out to get here. This has already been buried under the cover of 'media bias'. The more wrong she is the more right here acolytes think her to be. Unfortunately for her, it loses support among the already unconverted. Just like Trump's exercise self-advertisement, all this serves to do is suck attention from serious GOP contenders for President. Let the carnival sideshow continue.

If I were an American voter I could forgive her for getting a historical fact wrong. I'm thinking however that if she had gone "yeh sorry, I made a lil mistake there" the punditocracy would still be on top of her: "what if she makes a 'lil mistake' in the White House?".

The reaction she did give, in my opinion, is just stupid. But what bugs me more is what her supporters are pulling off here. It makes me ask "Are there really -so- many idiots in the USA?"

Now I know America isn't all tea-party and republicans, but 8 years of Bush, combined with the shit Palin is pullin, realllllly makes it tempting to rip on the US. I just hope the political climate there slowly turns for the better, cuz all this is just bullshit.

She really is a non story at this point. She isn't going to be President and if somehow she won the nomination we might see a Mondale or Goldwater type of rebuke to the candidacy.

Is she smarter than a 5th grader? NO, she isn't as smart as a normal 1st grader. SP for POTUS? - OMG, she isn't qualified to be mayor or even a town council member. She embezzled Alaska's coffers to fix up her own house, she has the nerve to criticize ethics of others? She can't even count beyond her fingers and toes - she claims she publicly answered a question a million times in a week? It reminds me of Neil Young's song "Stupid Girl". Why do they still call her Governor? She resigned without even completing a single term (I suppose she had looted the state enough to satisfy her personal greed). Has everyone forgotten she is a spokesperson for the succession of Alaska from the USA?

LOL, she isn't running for president. She is running for VICE president. They are supposed to put their foot in their mouth and say stupid things to take the heat off the president. Kind of makes the president a little safer too as if the president buys the farm, one of those azz clowns would be elevated to the position.

I take it you mean now. otherwise asked & answered. Additionally, I can't see her taking second spot. She is the star of her own reality TV show now, I can't see her becoming the sidekick.

My respect for McCain's judgment took a nosedive after he took her in.

She is intellectually light, morally ambiguous and dangerously divisive.

Starting to make sense now. I can see Newt giving her the eye, er, the nod. Lets face it gunnut. Any of the GOP runners would take her in an instant if they thought she could swing enough votes. Politics is all about the votes. Slick willy would take her and he already did his 2 terms.

These clips of Palin have generated over 4.2 million views and 35,000 comments. The original video of the story has produced 2.8 million views.

So tell me.....WHAT is SO interesting about SARAH PALIN?

I saw an "infomercial" (which was presented as a documentary) for her on PBS in one Sunday morning in early 2008, before McCain picked her - I bet he saw it too. It painted her as a heroic rogue - fighting corruption and injustice - a good honest woman of the people. She "stood up" against big oil - it turned out her husband had been fired by big oil and she was simply punishing them for it. I have the feeling the PBS special was funded by those backing her political career.

I saw the recent videos - she wants to revise history to make what she said right? It seems she is in denial about America being a British colony at the time - the British had been here for 7 years? She keeps going and going - like the EverReady bunnie...

And next week Sarah will explain how the U.S. victory in the Pacific during WWII was due largely to the devastaing success of their sneak attack on the Japanese at Pear Harbour!
