Libel is much, much easier to sell in the UK than it is in America. I can't even remember the last time someone succesfully sued for libel in the US.

Regardless, Galloway is a whore. One of those enemy within scumbags i talk about.

I particularly like his claim about the Americans being responcible for 100,000 deaths as a result of operation freedom, thats still one third of his hero, Saddams tally of 300,000 strong and growing.


As for his high opinion of himself I fail to see why he's earned it, he's merely an insulent toe rag who's bitter he couldn't cash in on the riches Iraq had to offer once the sanctions "he lifted" were removed. I guess he'll have to milk some other poor opressed country......

I heard his riding is mainly Muslim, which might account for some of his statements. He's just your typical politician, although more articulate and possibly more clever than many.

The Red Cross just announced last week that the total number killed in the aftermath of the war is 34,000....and that INCLUDES insurgents themselves.

Forgot to add: especially as you're an officer and a gentleman, I know you are furious at Galloway for calling on Arabs to fight British troops, and calling for British troops to disobey their orders.

That's what got him thrown out of the Labour Party (among other offenses), and dam' well should have resulted in landing him in the dock for sedition and/or treason.

The man is a black-hearted bastard, and it requires a very light push for me to believe him to be a totally corrupted politician, as well. I believe that will be borne out by future developments.

CONTROVERSIAL British MP George Galloway has been suspended from Parliament after an investigation found his charity had taken money from Saddam Hussein.

Mr Galloway was booted from the House of Commons for 18 days after a recommendation by a standards committee made up of his fellow MPs.

The disciplinary panel found that the Mariam Appeal set up by Mr Galloway was partly funded by the executed Iraqi dictator.

The suspension, which did not require a vote of MPs, sparked a torrent of outrage from Mr Galloway towards his colleagues in the House.

"Being lectured by the current House of Commons on the question of the funding of political campaigns is like being accused of having bad taste by Donald Trump, like being accused of slouching by the Hunchback of Notre Dame," he said.

"None of the parties here, and all three of them are culpable, ever asked the millionaires and billionaires who gave them and lent them money where they got the money from."

He was ejected from the chamber by the Speaker of the Parliament, but continued his speech outside for anyone who would listen, the Associated Press reported.

Last week the disciplinary panel found there was "strong circumstantial evidence" that Saddam had funded the charity and called Mr Galloway "clearly irresponsible" for not investigating the source of the money.

Mr Galloway is a former Labour MP who was booted from the party after he urged British soldiers not to fight in Iraq.

He formed his own party, Respect, and went on to retain his east London seat at the 2005 election
