    The ruling class

Big firms and their CEO are the ruling class. In a bad economic time their income jumped fivefold.

[QUOTE]Highest earners' pay rose fivefold in '09

WASHINGTON? ?Those top-end Americans earned a combined $38.4 billion in 2009, up from $11.9 billion earned by 131 individuals with wages exceeding $50 million in 2008, according to Social Security Administration data.

Nationally, the average annual wage fell by $384 to $39,269 and the median wage fell by $253 to $26,261 during the worst economic slump since the Great Depression. The 74 top wage earners together made as much as the combined income of the 19 million lowest-paid people in America, who constitute one in every eight workers.

Another statistic of note: One in every 34 wage earners in 2008 failed to earn a single dollar in 2009.

You wouldn't know a fact if it stole your election and raised your taxes.

He got booted because he's a spambot, you haven't seen his other spam because it now resides in the rubbish heap. I left this one up because I know y'all love arguing about this shyt and because Troungs response was so damn funny.

I really don't understand the hatered directed at the super rich.

Hell, I hope to be one someday.

I pledge that when I am super rich one day, my first act as a rich guy will be to invite all members of WAB ( all expenses paid, of course> to a Celine Dion concert.

Sorry. Election night exuberance. My remark was uncalled for, Rosie, and I withdraw it with apologies.

We should have a 2012 WAB night where all of us, Repubs, Dems, and others, meet for drinks and conversation on election night.

Oh, me too. I'm talking about in person. Much harder to engage in casual ass-hattery (as I just did and Pari reminded me) when the person is right next to you. Most people are pretty darned okay, political differences aside. I bet Rosie's a fun guy to have a beer with.

Well in that case, my Hilton has a bar and a bigass mtg room with a giant screen projector perfect for watching the election. The young republicans from the local college usually grab it for thier party, but if we beat them to it??

I nominate Joplin, MO, a nice central location at a hotel that I have the keys to.
