Hey, I watched the Sharpton rally too. Beck fills the mall, Sharpton fills a high school auditorium. lol.

I noticed it was an overwhelmingly black audience. All the speakers were black too.

Not a lot of diversity there....

He doesn't need to be diverse. The onus and burden of proof is on the white man to prove that he's not racist. Blacks could never, ever be racist!

Yes, whites have fcuked up plenty when it comes to treating blacks, but it's been nearly 50 years since MLK said his speech. Do you think that by now blacks would be willing to work towards some of those changes? We had this argument on some other thread, arguing the validity of Affirmative Action, among other things. I think Affirmative Action needs to go.

Couple videos to prove my point. The second one is Chris Rock and it's got plenty profanity so it might not be that safe for work:

Lets keep in mind though your looking at a movie, scripted to be whatever the director wants and then you have comedy. There's alot of great black actors out there. Sammuel L, is definately on that list.

The point I'm trying to make is that lots of blacks are racist against whites and are allowed to get away with it because they are black. Ironic much?

I get your point. To further support that, you think there will ever be a remake of Blazing Saddles? Mel Brooks couldn't do that today.

IIRC, when it came out Blazing Saddles held the record for most ever uses of the word n!gger in a film up until that point

Not going to choose sides here, nor argue one side nor the other but I think we all (well most of us) have lived long enough to know that sometimes its better to leave things past in the the past and look forward to the future. Once you look at it that way almost anything is possible.

Guess what my favorite line from that movie is?

"Dock that ch!nk a day's pay for napping on the job!"

I once asked if that song "I've been working on the railroad" was a Chinese folk song.

I remember that. It was right after he got knocked out IIRC.

The world is way to tense and easily offended to have anything like it today. I thought it made fun of everybody. Thats why I like Carlos Mencia and Southpark, nobody is safe and nothing is sacred. If you can't laugh at yourself, but laugh at everybody else, well, your probably a real d1ck.
