it is not illegal for americans to listen to VOA, it is illegal for VOA of America to broadcast to Americans. Americans still can (and are allowed) to listen to VOA over the Internet, or while abroad.

The reason was, afaik, to "protect" American citizen from their own propaganda

Probably,NK considers Peiking so unreliable ,so China even all world do.

I have a few confidence on that NK will abandon its nuclear weapons becoz of Dictatorship. And NK's brainwashed education leads to a lot of north korean's realization and idealogic have been changed.

Do american and NK will bulid the relationship or make a better relationship??

    Golden age,

You are obviously keen to comment on world affairs, but your language skills are going to cause problems. English can be a difficult language and it is clear that you are still learning. Can I make a friendly suggestion - make your points brief and use a limited vocabulary. This will help people to understand the points you are trying to make. Otherwise there will be a lot of confusion about what you are trying to say & what you mean.

There are a number of users here who are Chinese language speakers (including some moderators). They may be able to give you some advice.

North Korea said they would only release two journalists if a US senior diplomat visits them so Mr. Clinton went there. NK may want something more but there is no reason for US to change her policy atm. It is not necessary for Chinese to be nervous about that.

I think you use google translator? Btw what the heck does Mr. Clinton's visit have to do with VOA?

Like Golden Age..some of this will be lost in translation but here goes.

We don't listen to VOA because it is not broadcast in the US.

    Albany Rifles,

is that true that the VOA cant broadcast US citizens?

Why would we need VOA in the US? We already have Fox News.

i'm pretty sure voa can be picked up with a desent sw reciver, the lower the band the more chanses you have to pick it up.

problem is most americans think (since most radios only have am, fm bands)am and fm are the only bands available. i had few ppl look at me funny when i said there are a lot more bands than am and fm out there, those ppl were really surprised

my grandfather used to always listen to voa in ussr, the broadcast was in russian. back than in ussr you could get in trobble for listening to voa. we got lucky no one came after us.

Hah! Fox News makes VOA seem like fair and balanced reporting.
